About DashFix Garage

DashFix Garage started for one simple reason: when a warning light comes on, most people just want a straight answer. Not a sales pitch, not ten pop-ups, just what the light means and whether they can keep driving. That is what we build here.

We are an independent resource, not a dealership and not a parts store. Every guide is put together by people who have spent real time around cars, trucks and the kind of equipment that throws cryptic symbols on a dash. We read the owner manuals, cross-check the service information, and write it the way we would explain it to a friend in the driveway.

How we write our guides

Each warning light guide is organized around the question you actually have: what is this symbol, how serious is it, and what should I do next. We sort lights by color because that is how your vehicle prioritizes them. Red means stop and deal with it. Amber means get it looked at soon. Green and blue are just telling you a system is on.

We try to be honest about cost and difficulty. Some fixes are a five minute job in your own driveway, like reseating a fuel cap or topping up washer fluid. Others need a scan tool and a proper shop. We will tell you which is which instead of pretending everything is easy.

What we are not

We are not a substitute for a hands-on diagnosis. A warning light narrows things down, but it is not a diagnosis on its own. Knowing for certain still means pulling the codes and getting the truck on a lift. If a guide says a light can mean a serious fault, treat it that way and get a qualified technician to confirm it.
